Stepping out along Chicago’s urban waterfront
The Chicago Riverwalk is a waterfront corridor in the heart of downtown, yours to explore just outside our front door. The 1.5-mile path from Lake Michigan to Lake Street emerged from an ambitious, years-long project by the city to transform the Chicago River’s north branch into a magnetic outdoor destination. Today, the Riverwalk bustles from end to end, even in winter. It’s the best excuse for taking a long lunch. Here’s some of what you’ll find along and around Chicago’s most scenic route.
